What’s Happening with ISO?
The certifying departments (HR, Security, Finance, Contracts, and Program Management) have done an amazing job documenting their procedures. Keep in mind that the procedures will be a work in progress as we get closer to our ISO Certification. Some departments have created work instructions and/or process maps which will be available for all employees to view on the ISO site (listed below). Please be sure to keep an eye on the ISO Site and subscribe to changes to make sure you get the latest and greatest ISO news! All employees should have access to view the site. If access has not yet been granted, please request it and you’ll be able to access it in no time! The link to that site is:

This site is where all ISO-related information will be posted both now and in the future. Remember, if you sit on a Government Site, you may not be able to access the site while on the premises. Be sure to check access when you are at a different location (such as a home computer or PE Site).
ISO 9001 Auditor Update
A big thank you to those ISO 9001 Auditors who helped lead the first two audits to success. You all did an amazing job!
For those individuals who are interested, we do plan to hold just one last ISO Training before the summer ends. Please be sure to communicate your interests to Carrie Lynch (clynch@patricioenterprises.com); Sarah Clemente (sclemente@patricioenterprises.com); or Marquitta Harris (mharris@patricioenterprises.com). Remember, participation will require supervisor approval.
We are so excited to have completed our Security and Contracts Audits which took place in May. We found that the departments did an excellent job of documenting their activities and providing evidence of their processes (which is a requirement of ISO). Most importantly, we were able to identify a few opportunities for improvement in both departments! We are always looking for ways to make the company more efficient. Again, this is a work in progress. Thanks to Lisa and Jerome for being involved and for welcoming the suggestions of the ISO Auditors. We’re confident they’ll do great when the external auditor arrives in the coming months.
What’s Coming Up?
In June, we are excited about continuing our internal ISO audits. If you happen to see a group of people walking around your workspace, we’re getting the Departments prepared for the actual external audit expected to take place around September 2015.
In the near future, the Departments, the Core 4 and the IMR will be working to plan a MANDATORY ISO Orientation. The purpose of the orientation will be to give employees an overview of what changes have been made, what the impact will be to them, how they can go about getting involved, and how the entire ISO process has been integrated into PE. The orientation will provide invaluable information that all employees will be expected to know in the event of an audit. While this isn’t expected to take place until sometime in late-summer, please remember to check the ISO Page and read the newsletter to make sure you have the most accurate and updated information about ISO.
