CONGRATULATIONS! Hard work really does pay off. PE has officially obtained ISO 9001:2008 Certification on December 14, 2015!  The Stage 2 external audit was conducted November 16-19, 2015.  Both Nonconformities and Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) were identified. PE worked diligently and efficiently to submit mitigation plans to assist in process improvement which led to certification.

Of the OFIs recommended, PE is going to make a major change to the ISO Site in the near future. Instead of referring to it as an ISO Site, it will be changed to the QMS Site by March 2016. What is QMS? It’s PE’s Quality Management System.

Now that we are certified, we will continue to grow as a quality-centered company. As always, we embrace continual process improvement which requires your feedback and support. Should you come across something that you think could be improved, please let us know! You can submit a Corrective Action Request (CAR) or Preventive Action Request (PAR), FM406.

ISO Auditors

December ISO Auditor Training has been moved to January 2016 to accommodate for more participation. Contact your Program Manager (PM) and/or Training and Information Coordinators (TIC) if you are interested.

We want to thank everyone for the hard work and participation in making the Stage 2 External Audit a success.  Your support is greatly appreciated and necessary. We look forward to your continued involvement during our next round of internal audits in 2016.

Just as a friendly reminder, if you have received ISO 9001 Auditor Training, you are expected to participate.

What’s Coming Up?

One additional ISO Auditor Training is being scheduled for mid-January 2016. Contact your PM/Business Group Directors (BGD) and/or TIC if you are interested. The PM/BGD must send an email to the ISO Team in order for you to participate.

The QMS Training video is currently underway and will be available on the QMS Site soon. Please keep an eye out for it!
