Patricio Enterprises, Inc. Awarded $8.3 Million Administrative Task Order by Department of Homeland Security

STAFFORD, Virginia — Patricio Enterprises, Inc. (PE) announced its award of a task order by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) under the Program Management, Administrative, Clerical and Technical Services (PACTS) contract vehicle for Functional Category 2 (Administrative). The task order value is over $8.3 million, if all three option years are exercised, and over $1.7 million for the base year.

The Department of Homeland Security established DNDO in 2005 to integrate all programs relating to nuclear detection research, nuclear forensics, development, test, evaluation, assessments, acquisition and operational support. The DNDO’s objective is to improve the Nation’s capability to deter, prevent, detect, report, and respond appropriately to unauthorized attempts to import, possess, store, develop, or transport nuclear or radiological material for illicit use.

DHS awarded PE and nine other companies with an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract in 2009 under PACTS – Functional Category 2. Task orders solicited and awarded under Functional Category 2 primarily consist of providing a range of day-to-day office administrative services, such as financial planning; billing and recordkeeping; personnel; and physical distribution and logistics for others on a contract or fee basis.

About DHS PACTS
The major goal of the PACTS acquisition was to create a streamlined portfolio of contract vehicles for various services with accessibility by DHS Headquarters and its components. PACTS is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The types of services provided under the PACTS Program make up a significant portion of requirements currently being acquired through various procurement vehicles across DHS.

More information on DHS PACTS is available at http://www.dhs.gov/xopnbiz/opportunities.
